Singing Lesson Policy

Cancellations and student no-shows, especially at the last minute, significantly impact our ability to accommodate the scheduling needs of other students. We ask for your full cooperation with our attendance policy, which is designed around two key principles:

  • Consistent attendance is the foundation for making progress towards your singing goals.
  • Efficient and respectful use of your VocaLab instructor’s time and expertise.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Rules

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice (Late Cancellation/Reschedule): Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as ‘no-shows’, must be paid in full and will not be refunded. Please note: A late reschedule is treated exactly the same as a late cancellation. Both scenarios leave your Vocal Coach with an unfillable gap in their schedule and a loss of income for that reserved time.
  • 1 to 7 days’ notice: Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice can be moved to another time within the next 14 days at no extra cost.
  • More than 7 days’ notice: Lessons cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice will be refunded in full.

How to Cancel or Reschedule
You can easily manage your appointment by using the Cancel/Reschedule button located in your booking confirmation email.

Please note: This button automatically becomes unavailable 24 hours before your scheduled lesson time. Once the button disappears, you are within the late cancellation window and the rules below apply.

Extenuating Circumstances
We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected events can occur. We may provide leniency in extenuating circumstances; however, this is strictly at the discretion of your VocaLab Vocal Coach, with whom you must discuss any alternative arrangements directly.

Agreement
We enforce this policy because late changes directly affect our teachers’ livelihoods. By scheduling and paying for a lesson, you acknowledge and accept this cancellation policy. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

All prices include GST.
